A disclaimer for this, and all episodes of the show...many of the elder tracks are taken from original sourced cassettes, a great deal of them are tape trade copies...quality varies, but if you aren't aware of that yet...you haven't been listening! I take great care to fix "really bad" audio problems, and bring everything to a comfortably massive volume level. However, some tracks sound the BEST when they are from an unknownth generation dub...if you're lucky, you'll hear the best of both worlds.

Episode 8: Pandemic Panic

It's been nearly 7 years since I created this show as a live broadcast on Mixlr, and just about 7 years since I abandoned the show due to time constraints. My fault, really...I made too much work out of it.

Now, as most of us are sitting at home (and hopefully so) thinking about what a fucking mess everything is right now, I thought it would be a good idea to start it up again...without making too much work of it.

So, TATENOKAI is back...no more extensive show notes, no more clever painstakingly orchestrated theme shows. I'm literally going back to the basics, and simply digging up various chunks from my collection of demos, EPs and live shows; for the most part, trying to stick with items that haven't been released en masse from "the good ol' days," and trying to showcase some new(er) stuff at the same time when I have a chance to do so.

Pandemic Panic is the first of what I hope leads to a series of themeless 1-hour trips through the beyond, some interesting sounds for your earholes. I'm not really a collector, I'm an archivist...and sharing these documented stuffs is part of what I enjoy doing the most.
